Condition:  What a fantastic, complete set of The Riverside Shakespeare in six volumes including:  Comedies, Histories & Poems & The Tragedies.  The spines and covers are leather bound, the covers are both leather & marbled covers.  The front and back endsheets along with all foredges are marbled.  The spine boasts six compartments with raised bands, embossing and spine labels.

These are in good overall condition for their age.  They show cover & spine wear especially noted around the edges.  The spine label with the wording "Shakespeare Grant White" of the second volume of Comedies is coming away from the spine.  There is a stamp on the first page of each book with a letter & number written in pencil at the top of the same page.  The stamp states:  Executive Mansion Pennsylvania.  Does this mean these once belonged in the Governor's mansion library?  I have no idea but each one has the same stamp.  No other writing noted within any of the volumes.  There are water marks on the first several pages of volume I Comedies.  Maybe a minor page tear here or there but no major flaws noted inside any of the editions.  All are tightly bound.  These editions do not appear as though they were ever read or opened much.

PLEASE NOTE:  This set will ship priority mail with added insurance for your protection & peace of mind.
