Condition: The box shows wear especially around the edges. The books themselves show very minor wear around the edges - probably from being put in & removed from the box set. The books are tightly bound with no damage to their spines. No writing, torn or missing pages noted. The Fellowship of the Ring shows the most wear including cover and spine wear as well as corner folds (from the way the book was stored - not turned down pages) at the bottom right-hand corner of the book for the first 1/4 of the book.
The print in these editions has a bit larger print - perfect for both young & older readers alike. A wonderful set for the Tolkien lover in your life.
