Condition: Minor cover and spine wear noted especially around the edges. A few of the cover images show wear. Each volume is tightly bound. The first few volumes show the most wear (usually the case as younger children are rougher with books than older children are). A small page tear or two from years of being read noted. A few minor age spots noted in several volumes. There is discoloration on pages 216 & 217 of Through Fairy Halls - it looks like a paper had been tucked in those pages at one time.
This set is filled with art deco illustrations which are gorgeous. There are three different inside covers used as the books progress as well. The books progress as children age, starting with nursery rhymes in Volume 1. A wonderful set to have on the bookshelf for hours upon hours of reading & rereading. Perfect for your homeschool classroom & morning read aloud time.
