This is a great cookbook for someone who is looking for recipes on cooking from scratch.  Many foods like cottage & cream cheese recipes are included as well as making stocks & bases for soups.  I love keeping these types of cookbooks on hand in my own kitchen for reference & for old-fashioned recipes.  Any canning recipes used in these older editions should be checked to make sure they are still considered safe in today's standards.
