Welcome to Log Cabin Vintage

I am Wendy, an old soul living with my husband in a log cabin nestled in Historic Bucks County, PA. We are empty nesters as our youngest headed off to college this fall. My love for children’s books has never left me since childhood. I find joy in collecting my favorite books from childhood now as I did reading them as a kid. The nostalgia of days gone by warms my heart.  I am a homebody who loves spending my days doing things the old-fashioned way: from hanging laundry to dry in the sun, baking bread from scratch or spending my summer days canning in the kitchen, I yearn to live a simpler life. I also long for the good old days when families gathered around the kitchen table for every meal & homemade food was the only option. I am an aspiring modern-day homesteader. I am an avid reader mostly of non-fiction, historical fiction & of course children’s books.
