Condition: The dust jackets show wear especially noted around the edges including a tear at the bottom of When We Were Very Young. They have done well to protect the covers and spines well over the years - these only show minor wear around the edges. There is an inscription written in both the front & back inside covers of Now We are Six - it appears as though the person gifting the book had the book upside down & wrote the first inscription on she thought was the inside cover, only to realize it was actually the back, inside cover & she had written it upside down. (happens to the best of us). No other writing noted. No torn or missing pages noted. These editions are tightly bound with no damage to the hinges.
