Condition: Cover and spine wear noted especially around the edges - there is damage to the spine at the very top as shown in the photos of Billy Whiskers at the Fair. As would be expected of any book over 100 years old, these books have been well-loved and well-read over the years. Still bound tightly but where the front and back covers meet the spine is definitely flimsy at best. No missing pages noted - an illustration in Bill Whiskers Friends has come out of the book but is still included. There is an inscription on the inside covers of both books. There are a few minor page tears near the spine of the book on several pages. Foxing (age spots) are noted on the fore edges and inside covers. Both editions are filled with both full-color, full-page illustrations as well as black and white illustrations.
