Condition: These three volumes show cover and spine wear due to age and use over the years. No page tears or missing pages noted. Book One's spine is faded from years in the sunshine. Book Two has a cracked front hinge but all three books are still tightly bound. There is also a name covered in marker on the inside cover pages of Book Two. No other writing noted.
Originally meant to be published as one volume, this set ended up in three volumes because the editor wanted to include “the best reading for children of all ages, and because I wanted to give you the whole stories or whom chapters from books just as the famous authors wrote them…”
