Originally compiled by Olive Beaupré Miller, My Book House is one of the most beloved children’s literature sets of the 20th century. Designed to grow with your child, these twelve volumes guide readers from simple nursery rhymes to the world’s great myths, poetry, and stories — all chosen for their beauty, character-building themes, and rich language.

This vintage set is a wonderful addition to any homeschool library, especially for families following the Charlotte Mason or Living Books approach. The graduated reading levels make it easy to use across multiple ages — perfect for morning basket time, read-alouds, or independent reading. Each story can inspire copywork, narration, and discussion.

Filled with gorgeous Art Deco illustrations, these volumes capture the golden age of children’s publishing. The included In Your Hands parent guide offers ideas for sharing stories at each developmental stage, helping parents nurture a lifelong love of reading.

💛 Condition

These books are in good, vintage condition but do show normal wear to the covers and spines especially around the edges.  I have tried to not any "major" flaws below:

In the Nursery (Book #1) shows the most wear - but isn't that always the case in these anthologies?  They were published for the youngest of children and therefore often show the wear - scribbled pages, tears page wrinkles from the pages being turned endlessly. The marks of a book well-loved.  Book One of this set is no different - there is scribble noted on one of the content pages & the title page has a long tear on it. There is another early page in the book that was repaired with tape that is now aged to perfection.

But not to worry, the set does get better from there.  Book Two only has a tiny bit of scribble noted on one of the early blank pages in the book & I noted not page tears.

Book Five contains a small name & address sticker on the inside cover's endpapers.

Book Six shows wear to the image on the front cover.

A complete and beautiful set — perfect for both collectors and families seeking quality, character-rich literature for their homeschool.
