Condition: Cover and spine wear noted especially around the edges of the dust jackets. The covers and spines have been well protected by the dust jackets. There is an inscription on the inside cover's endpapers of each book - written by the same family to the same person. No torn or missing pages noted. All books are tightly bound & there is no damage to any of the hinges.
The Borrower's won the 1952 Carnegie Medal from the Library Association.
