This week, we’re celebrating one of the most beloved friends in literary history — Winnie the Pooh! It’s hard to believe it’s been 99 years since A.A. 🎨 Fun Facts:

Christopher Robin's bear was originally named Edward but after visiting the London Zoo and Winnie (a bear at the zoo), he changed his stuffed bear's name to Winnie.

While the original illustrations by E.H. Shepard were in black and white, the first edition with color illustrations wasn’t published until 1974 by Dutton Children's Books. This edition featured Shepard's original illustrations with added color, bringing a new vibrancy to the beloved tales.
