These bookplates are a book lovers dream!  Bookplates give us a glimpse into the past when books were rare and highly valued.  Used to identify the owner of the book so borrowed books could be returned.  Bookplates not only helped identify the book's owner, but they also spoke volumes of the owner's personality.  Oftentimes these beauties were designed specifically for the owner & were as unique as they were.  I created the bookplates in my shop to bring the past back to the present - to bring back an almost lost art back to life - a way to preserve the past for just a bit more.

Each Bookplate is printed on 50# white gummed back paper.

Each piece measures 2.5" x 3.5".

Designs were taken from illustrations within the pages of antique books and turned into a bookplate.
