The spines show discoloration - the result of years sitting on a bookshelf in the sunlight. These have been well-loved and read over the years. There is a bookplate inside of The Harvester. There are page smudges, marks and a page tear or two that have been repaired with scotch tape as shown in the photos.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe unique thing about these editions is the inclusion of an actual photograph of Gene Stratton-Porter that was taken when she was 61 years old.  It shows her in the Limberlost. There are two notations with the photo as follows:  \"Gene Stratton-Porter at age 61\", and what appears to say \"Visited Limberlost July 20, 1930, E. C. W\". (E. C. W. is Edna C. Waugh - her name is written in the inscription on the inside cover of the book.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eIf you have never read anything by Gene Stratton-Porter, you are in for a treat!
